A Note From Ged Noering, Analyst

Private-market impact managers are tackling some of today’s most complex and pressing challenges. By bridging the gap between problems and solutions, they offer the market-rate returns investors seek while targeting meaningful social and environmental outcomes.

Impact investing in private markets is critical, and I’m happy to see growing recognition of its promise and potential. The evidence speaks for itself: managers in the impact space are delivering top-decile returns and strong distributions to LPs. This has driven more widespread adoption among traditional private-market investors, who are reshaping the narrative of impact investing — reframing the sector as one where financial returns and impact are equally prioritized.

In less than two weeks, investors and fund managers will gather in Charleston for Big Path’s Impact Capitalism Summit. I’m looking forward to candid conversations with impact LPs, GPs, and ecosystem partners on how we can further challenge the status quo for impact private markets stakeholders and expedite growth in the industry. There are still a few spots available! Learn more and apply here.
