A Note From J.D. Dell, Managing Director

So much of our work centers on meaningful collaboration. This month’s newsletter highlights several examples of what happens when partnership is rooted in purpose, trust, and shared values.

From partnerships for successful exits, like the one featured in our latest Impact CEO Series conversation, to creating space for deeper connection through our new Peer Circles for impact-minded leaders, we’re spotlighting the power of relationship and community to drive significant results.

It’s an exciting time to be in the business of impact, and we’re grateful for your support.

Partnering Your Way to a Successful Exit

When Celtic Sea Salt founder Selina DeLangre decided it was time to bring in outside capital, she wasn’t looking for the highest bid — she was looking for a partner who would protect the company’s soul. In our latest Impact CEO Series conversation, Big Path CEO Michael Whelchel spoke with DeLangre and Ben Rudman, now CEO of Celtic Sea Salt and Founder of Charis Consumer Collaborative, about how shared values, early trust, and clear roles turned a standard transaction into a mission-forward partnership. Watch now.

Introducing Big Path’s Peer Circles for Impact-Minded CEOs

We’re excited to launch the MO CEO Peer Circles, a facilitated support group for impact-minded CEOs, and are looking for interested participants. The groups offer an opportunity for deep self-exploration and support in navigating the unique challenges of running a purpose-led company. Each circle will comprise six to eight impact CEOs of companies with similar revenue sizes across a mix of industries with no competitors. The circles will meet monthly in a mix of virtual and in-person meetings. If you are interested in learning more, please email us at [email protected].

Webinar: From Intention to Action — How Impact Leaders Are Leveraging Insurance and Other Climate Finance Tools for Systemic Change

Insurance, banking, and retirement accounts represent trillions of dollars that shape how businesses manage risk, resilience, and long-term value. Too often, these tools are treated as separate from sustainability, when they are actually among the most powerful levers for systemic change.

On October 9 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET, Big Path CEO Michael Whelchel will join Brad Stevenson of Premiums for the Planet and Jim Black of Impact Law for a timely conversation.

Moderated by Patrick Flynn, Founder of Switchboard and former Global Head of Sustainability at Salesforce, this event will show how impact leaders are turning intention into action by activating overlooked financial levers to align money with mission. Register.

Christie Lange Offers Advice for CPG Leaders at Consumer Impact Summit

“For a business to be attractive to impact investors, you still need the solid business fundamentals alongside the impact. The impact and values need to be embedded into your company; it needs to be part of what’s driving your value and your growth.”

Director Christie Lange joined leaders from across the CPG community earlier this month at the Consumer Impact Summit. In an interview with Chris Bahn, Founder of C. Bahn Strategic Partners, Christie shared advice for business leaders looking to scale. She emphasized the critical need for a transparent and authentic identity, rooted in well-defined values, strong business fundamentals, and measurable impact. Effectively communicating this identity through data and storytelling, she said, is essential for growth and attracting value-aligned investors. Learn more about the event.
