A Note From Michael Whelchel, Big Path Founder & CEO

I first heard about the concept of B Corp certification in 2007, at an event where B Lab co-founder Jay Cohen Gilbert presented the idea of business as a force for good. He challenged us to look beyond good marketing and commit to building truly good companies. That message stayed with me. I knew I wanted to be part of something bigger—a movement for meaningful change.

Eighteen years later, Big Path is celebrating our sixth B Corp recertification. At a time when purpose-driven business is more important than ever, this milestone reaffirms our long-standing commitment to people, planet, and the bottom line. It’s a collective achievement that reflects the values we live by every day—and I know the Big Path team shares that pride.

Keep reading to learn how the B Corp certification process continues to shape and deepen our business practices and our impact.

Thanks for being on this journey with us,
